Cave of the Winds has 4 different tours available, along with the laser show. The Discovery Tour is a 45 minute guided walking and is our classic tour, the one enjoyed by generations of visitors. The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is the second oldest race in the U.S. Since 1916, racing drivers and motorcycle racers drive 12.4 miles up the twisting dangerous road to reach the 14,100 - foot summit of Pikes Peak. Witness this event as you sit along the side of the road and view the great plains of Colorado.

The Cheyenne Mountain Zoological Society was founded in 1926 by philanthropist Spencer Penrose to house his growing collection of exotic animals. In 1938, after substantial development, Mr. Penrose incorporated the Zoo as a non-profit public trust for the people of Colorado Springs “for the sole purpose of establishing and maintaining a zoological park to provide recreation, education, conservation, and scientific facilities in the field of zoology and related subjects, and to preserve the Zoo in perpetuity for the people of the Pikes Peak region.”

The Manitou Cliff Dwellings and Museum is a rare historical treasure. Preserved under a protective red sandstone overhang, authentic Anasazi cliff dwellings, built more than 700 years ago, await you here.

Colorado College (1 1/2 blocks away) is special in several ways. CC is devoted to undergraduate teaching, learning and discovery. Florissant Fossil Beds A beautiful mountain valley just west of Pikes Peak holds spectacular remnants of the earth's prehistoric life. Huge petrified redwoods and incredibly detailed fossils of ancient insects and plants reveal a very different Colorado of long ago.

Explore the sheriff's office, general store, wild west saloon, jail, Victorian Home and blacksmith shop that transport you back to how life was lived almost 100 years ago.

Natural History Museum The Museum's collections include more than 650,000 objects, curated in the departments of Anthropology, Earth Sciences, and Zoology.

North Pole Santa's Workshop is a Christmas themed family amusement park that has been in existence since 1956. Christmas music fills the air as visitors browse through the village. At the center of Santa’s Workshop is the North Pole, an ice-covered pole that never melts. Surrounding the North Pole are a variety of gift shops, each with their own unique selection of toys & gifts. Of course, the highlight of everyone’s visit is a trip to Santa’s House to greet the jolly old elf himself.

Located within the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., the $8 million Olympic Visitor Center hosts approximately 140,000 visitors each year. It is the primary facility providing the general public with information about the U.S. Olympic Committee, U.S. Olympic Training Centers and the Olympic Movement.

The Mission of the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum is to collect, preserve, research and interpret the history and culture of the Pikes Peak Region. The Museum is housed in the beautifully restored 1903 El Paso County Courthouse. This Pioneer Museum is a winner of the Award of Merit from the American Association for State and Local History.

Pikes Peak Cog Railway Since 1891, the Manitou and Pike's Peak Railway (the world's highest cog railroad and the highest railroad in the United States) has taken passengers to the 14,110 foot summit of Pikes Peak. Just 70 miles from downtown Denver and 7 miles from downtown Colorado Springs, the Cog Railway is open from mid April through mid November, when the trains depart seven days a week.

Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center - A new 20,000 square foot dinosaur museum in Woodland Park, Colorado.

Exhibits include huge marine reptiles, pterosaurs, dinosaurs, a visible fossil lab, educational activities, interactive children's area, and a great gift shop. Open 7 days per week year round.

Come experience Colorado's own world wonder, the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park. At 1,053 feet high, the panoramic vistas of the gorge are as awesome as the Grand Canyon. Spanning a quarter mile across is the world's highest suspension bridge, an engineering feat as inspiring as the Eiffel Tower. Other man-made marvels include the world's longest single-span Aerial Tram and the world's steepest Incline Railway.

It has been called the “Grandest Mile of Scenery in Colorado”. Located in South Cheyenne Cañon, Seven Falls cascades 181 feet in seven distinct steps down a solid cliff of Pikes Peak granite. Crystal clear water from the southern most edges of the Pikes Peak watershed have, over the ages, carved this unique scenic masterpiece in an easily accessed location.

Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun Take the scenic drive up Cheyenne Mountain, only 1.4 miles from the Zoo entrance, to this historic monument. Built by Spencer Penrose between 1934 and 1937, it stands dedicated to Will Rogers who died in a plane crash in 1935. The elevation of the Shrine is 8,136 feet on the top deck, and provides a spectacular view of Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Region.
